Designing Computer-Based Training
Course Description
This graduate course provides hands-on experience in translating instructional design theory into the development of practical computer-based training. Students learn to align learning objectives with engaging digital instructional strategies and valid performance-based assessments, and to use authoring tools to create modular, self-paced modules and reusable learning objects. Course topics include creating scenario-based learning, integrating branching tutorials, usability testing, and applying multimedia and visual design principles to cater to a diverse range of learners.
