Alignment Overview

The Alignment chart below demonstrates a deliberate method to develop active listening modules for Certified Peer Support Specialists and support staff.  The design follows trauma-informed and adult learning principles to show how each objective, assessment, and activity supports real-world application, learner autonomy, and emotional safety in asynchronous environments.

The Absorb-Do-Connect framework organizes activities to create a sequence that supports skill development, personal reflection, and transfer.  The training methods, including guided mindfulness and scenario-based simulations, are designed to meet learners at their current level by fostering attention, empathy, and trust in peer support dialogues.

This chart demonstrates how backward design and research-based instructional choices work together to establish presence, neutrality, and connection.  The design demonstrates dedication to creating emotionally intelligent and accessible learning experiences that respect both learners and their professional work.
